Google rolls out Chrome 37, finally fixes horrible font-rendering

PreviousNext
css3-chrome-font

Google has rolled out Chrome 37 today, a legendary milestone that fixes one of the most annoying “bugs” in frontend history: For several years (!) Google’s webfonts (and also lots of other professionel webfonts) looked horrible in Chrome under Windows 7 / 8. More on that here in this article. This seems to be fixed completely. Have a look (and to be fair: this is a very soft example):

Chrome 36 (in Windows 7, all system settings default)

font rendering fixed
