Adobe releases Firebug-like developer tools to edit and extract PSDs

PreviousNext

A big step in frontend-development: According to this presentation on Adobe Max 2014 Adobe has just released a very interesting tool for easier PSD-to-HTML workflows: Creative Cloud Extract is a tool that comes with a Creative Cloud subscription and allows Firebug-like editing of PSD-files plus full one-click exports of the entire page, in modern CSS, including rendering of the best-possible image format (.svg!!!). It also looks like both Photoshop CC and Dreamweaver will be able to directly connect to Creative Cloud Extract and work on the files. This looks very very interesting, and we are entering the era of code-inside-PSD/Photoshop with this. This can become a serious killer feature in future web development!
