Killer-feature in PHPStorm: Search everywhere

A short but massive productivity improvement: The new “search everywhere” feature in PHPStorm 7.1+! Simply double-tap the SHIFT key and type what you are searching for. The crawler is really intelligent and will find everything, everywhere, within the project, includes, vendor folders and even within the IDE itself (configs, tools etc.). I love things like that. Simplicity meets excellent user-interface design. This sweet little feature will save you lots of time, as you will never have to search through code or deeply-nested IDE menus anymore.

By the way: For a full-text search in just a specific folder simply do a right-click-search on that folder instead, it will narrow down the results to that folder.

PHPStorm is available at JetBrains, totally free for open-source projects (!) or at low prices for commercial usage. Academic licences are also available.
